Alexis Vega to make third LIGA MX All-Star appearance, Henry Martin, Sergio Canales also among stars named 2025 LIGA MX All-Star Roster
NEW YORK (Monday, June 16, 2025) – LIGA MX today unveiled the first 14 players of the LIGA MX All-Star Roster who will participate in the 2025 MLS All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 23 at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas. The match will be broadcast exclusively on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English and Spanish.
LIGA MX’s first 14 All-Stars were automatically selected following their nominations to LIGA MX’s Balón de Oro awards, honoring the league’s best players following the 2024-25 Apertura and Clausura seasons. The award categories include Best Goalkeeper, Central Defender, Full-Back, Defensive Midfielder, Attacking Midfielder, Forward and Newcomer.
LIGA MX’s All-Star Head Coach will be unveiled during LIGA MX’s Balón de Oro broadcast show on July 6.
Among the 14 LIGA MX All-Stars are Club America forward and recent triple LIGA MX champion Henry Martin and CF Monterrey Spanish midfield playmaker Sergio Canales. The roster also includes recent Clausura champion with Toluca and Mexico National Team attacking midfielder Alexis Vega, earning his third LIGA MX All-Star selection.
The roster also features the return of Mexican National Team and Club America goalkeeper Luis Angel Malagon, Mexican veteran Jesus Gallardo, and 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup winner with Cruz Azul Erick Lira.

LIGA MX is putting forth the league’s best-of-the-best as they prepare for a rematch after falling to the MLS All-Stars 2-1 at Allianz Field in 2022 and in penalty kicks following a 1-1 draw at the end of regulation at BMO Stadium in 2021.
