Nashville SC
has loaned forward
Cameron Lancaster
to USL Championship side Louisville City FC for the 2020 season,
the club announced Thursday
.
The loan, which will give Nashville the right to recall the player at any point during its 2020 campaign, will send Lancaster back to a Louisville club where he spent three seasons before joining Nashville in 2018. The 27-year-old had his most productive years as a professional in Louisville, racking up 36 goals in 79 appearances from 2015-2018, winning back-to-back USL Cups in 2017-2018. He also won the league's Golden Boot in 2018, setting a single-season record with 25 goals.
Prior to coming to the USL, Lancaster was a member of Tottenham Hotspur's youth academy before bouncing around England's lower divisions with Dagenham & Redbridge, Stevenage and St. Albans City. 
He made 18 USL appearances for Nashville last season, starting seven games and netting five goals.
