Chris Wondolowski is getting closer to Landon Donovan's MLS career record of 145 regular-season goals.
The San Jose Earthquakes striker netted against his former team, the Houston Dynamo, on Saturday, from the penalty spot to put his team ahead, 1-0, in the first half.
The goal is No. 143 in his illustrious MLS regular-season career.
Wondolowski nearly scored a second goal before halftime, but it was awarded an own goal to Dynamo defender Alejandro Fuenmayor, who had the final touch.
